Natalie Topa’s background in urban planning brings a unique perspective to restoring community agroecosystems, building resilient infrastructure, and built environments including marketplaces, refugee camps, rural roads, and water systems. For the last 17 years, her work in Africa, the Middle East and South-East Asia has brought regenerative thinking and systems-based design to build the resilience of families, communities and landscapes. Ms Topa actively leads hands-on training in integrated design, erosion control, passive water harvesting, soil building, agrobiodiversity recovery and heritage security through indigenous food and seed systems anchored in local, traditional culture and context, building local resilience to extreme events including drought, flood and conflict.
